So, this is sort of a guest post. My brother, Jim Ford, put this on Facebook the other day and I loved it so much I asked him if I could use it on my blog. I was planning to elaborate and embellish, one (two?) of my specialties. The thing is, every time I start to do that, it’s not as good as when I just leave it alone. So, here it is, in all of its sparse, wise, glory:
Watching my Hunter learn to walk paints a picture of a few Iessons I want him to learn in life (the sooner, the better). Don’t be afraid to take on big challenges. Expect to be motivated and frustrated at the same time when learning and overcoming challenges in your life. There will be times you fall; get back up. Life will be painful at times but through Christ, joy will overshadow temporary pain. It’s okay to cry and laugh at the same time. Get help when you need it. Take calculated risks. Be brave. Be adventurous. Go for it! You make me proud by just being you. Oh, and just because you can get to the dog food doesn't mean you should eat it! Click To Tweet#lifeisgood

Thank you Gracie bug. Our kids teach us a lot.
I know that it is hard to just sit back and watch my little one grow into a big boy. There are some days that I wish I could still hold and treat him like my baby again. But everyday he teaches me something new about love, life, and patience. To think that he is only for and has taught me how to look at life in a new way everyday just blows my mind.
